Photo trekking is fun, whether it's in your own home, city, country or anywhere else on the planet.

This shot was taken on the Mendenhall Glacier, near Juneau, in Alaska. The helicopter is only about 5 feet from a cliff edge to a 200ft fall and they go there every 45 minutes almost all day.

I was lucky enough to have a travel companion who snapped this of me walking to the chopper to return back to the heliport. In my hand: Nikon D80+MBD80, Nikon 10-24. In my right cargo pocket is my Nikon 18-70.

That was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I won't soon forget.

Hi i got my nd400 from ebay, sent from the states. Its a hoya, They are expensive but worth it. I had to send 2 back though as they had imperfections. Also try B+W ND 1000, its 10 stops.
